FOUNDER’S MESSAGE

Founder’s Message from Sebrena Crews

Welcome to WERPARTNERS Housing LLC and the Daughters of Purpose Foundation. I’m grateful you’re here.
This work is more than a program to me — it is the calling of my life. With 30 years of leadership experience in Corporate America, I bring a rare blend of operational expertise, emotional intelligence, financial literacy, real estate ownership, and people‑focused leadership to every space I serve. My corporate journey shaped me into a steady, strategic, and deeply compassionate leader. I became known for building high‑performing teams, guiding people through change, and creating environments rooted in trust, accountability, and growth. Colleagues often describe me as supportive, dependable, and uplifting — someone who listens with intention, communicates with clarity, and brings out the best in others.

Throughout my journey, I’ve experienced every emotion imaginable — fear, courage, uncertainty, hope, and the quiet strength that comes from choosing to keep moving forward. I’ve learned to move quickly from past pain to present strength. That shift didn’t happen overnight, but it shaped me. My past pain is the reason I have unyielding empathy today. It taught me how to sit with people in their struggle without judgment, how to listen deeply, and how to help them rise.
During my corporate career, I also created and directed a podcast that unveiled raw, emotional, and long‑overdue stories from Black women navigating Corporate America. It was a bold move — one that shook the tables a bit — because I knew these conversations were needed. I built a safe environment where Black women could speak freely about their experiences, their challenges, and their truths in spaces that often overlook us.

We talked about navigating our careers, psychological safety, our hair, our boundaries, and the realities we carry every day. That work reminded me how powerful it is when women are given permission to be fully themselves.
As a long‑time property owner and real estate manager, I’ve witnessed firsthand how stability transforms a person’s confidence. A safe home is the beginning — but ownership, financial literacy, and self‑belief are what sustain a future. My goal is not only to provide housing, but to teach young women how to manage money, build credit, understand financial responsibility, and ultimately become homeowners themselves.

I want every woman who walks through our doors to know that she is capable of building a life she can be proud of.
My mentorship has always extended beyond logistics and life skills. I’ve spent years listening, encouraging, reminding young women of who they are, and helping them rediscover the strength they already carry. I believe deeply in identity — in knowing yourself, trusting yourself, and showing up as your authentic self in every room.

I also have a deep love for fashion, and I believe personal style is a powerful part of your brand. When I mentor women, I encourage them to explore what feels true to them, because style becomes most meaningful when it reflects their authentic identity, not anyone else’s.

Everything I do — from housing to mentorship to financial literacy to personal development — is rooted in compassion, structure, accountability, faith, and joy. These values shape every home we open and every life we touch.
I’ve also been happily married for 33 years, and that foundation of love and partnership has shaped the way I lead, support, and show up for others.

My vision is simple:Create spaces where young women feel safe, supported, and empowered to build the future they deserve.   Not just a place to live, but a place to grow. Not just stability, but purpose. Not just survival, but confidence, identity, and hope.
Thank you for being part of this mission. With love, purpose, and gratitude,

Sebrena Crews
